For the other regions, so many Yule logs are placed among the people living in a household. If ever you forgot one of them, it could be that death would come to take away a family member in the next year.

The famous "Baracuccu Traditions" of 31 December

It is one of the best ways to wish for a year of prosperity and joy for the New Year. According to the custom,  the children of the village have to go door-to-door and convey their wishes by shouting "Good din, good annu" Hello, happy new year). In return, the mistress of the house shares with them small dry cakes in the form of eight also called "Canistre and Canistroni" in Corsica. Some homes offer citrus fruits or dried fruit. To better illustrate the importance of these traditions, the Baracuccu marks a sweet and conditional love (demonstrated by sweetened presents). So there is nothing more gratifying than to have the wishes conveyed by children!
