Unlike most booking websites playing on words to announce particularly advantageous cancellation conditions when the reality is totally different, or offer optional cancellation insurance at exorbitant costs, we rather prefer being transparent and have built true solutions offering you flexibility and protection.

They are in line with My home in global travel philosophy and follow the various mechanism we set to protect your reservation. Considering the period we are going through and always with the aim to protect you, a special COVID cancellation policy has been set.

You need to secure your accommodation prior booking your flight or train tickets? You must get the approval of your family to confirm your choice. Our 48 hours free cancellation policy offers you the flexibility you need.

Our 48-hour cancellation guarantee gives you the time you need to organize your transport, confirm your choice with your family or friends, respond to an hesitation between one property and another, seize an opportunity.

You have 48 hours from the moment your reservation request is sent to the owner to request the cancellation of it or the cancellation of your reservation if it has already been accepted by the owner.

This guarantee applies to any reservation made more than 30 days prior the arrival date. The use of our 48 hour cancellation guarantee is limited to 2 times over a period of 12 consecutive months.

Cancellation refund guarantee without reason or proof

Do not take the risk of losing your entire rental budget in the event of cancellation. Without reason or proof, you are reimbursed from 70% to 100% of your reservation depending on the property for any cancellation 14 days or more prior your arrival. For any cancellation less than 14 days prior arrival, you are entitled to a 50% refund.

Canceling a reservation can be expensive. Subscribing to an individual cancellation insurance is expensive too and subject to various conditions.

Because, matching the conditions set by an insurance company is not obvious, our guarantee scheme allows you to be refunded without reason or proof. You benefit from the following protection:

1. A reimbursement guarantee for 70% of the rental price in case of cancellation 14 days or more prior arrival. On some properties, the refund can be 100% depending on the policy chosen by the owner or its representative.

2. A reimbursement guarantee for 50% of the rental price in case of cancellation less than 14 days prior arrival.

Any reimbursement has a deductible of 10% of the rental price in order to cover bank expenses (linked to your payments and reimbursement) and the cancellation process.

Please note that in case the government would make special decision justifying our COVID cancellation policy to apply, the usual cancellation terms linked to the property would no longer be applicable. You can consult our COVID cancellation policy through our dedicated page.


Full refund guarantee for major events

You face a major event obliging you to cancel or interrupt your stay? In case of cancellation, you are reimbursed in full of the amounts paid. In case you should interrupt your stay, you are reimbursed on a prorata temporis basis for the nights not spent in the property.

Because only a major event makes us cancel or interrupt our holiday, we have set My home in full refund guarantee. This guarantee protects you prior your arrival but also during your stay. As a consequence, in case of a major event, you benefit from:

1. A full refund of the amount paid for any cancellation.

2. A refund on a prorata basis taking into account the nights not spent in the property for any interruption of stay.

Any reimbursement has a deductible of 10% of the rental price in order to cover bank expenses (linked to your payments and reimbursement) and the cancellation process.

Your request is processed in France, by the team of our guarantor partner who status on the eligibility of your reimbursement request. If so, the refund is processed by bank transfer within 10 days after receipt of the elements justifying your cancellation. We have set a reimbursement limit of € 25,000 per reservation.

Cancellation of stay - refund example:

You have reserved a 7 nights stay for an amount of 2,100€. You need to cancel your reservation. You are refunded for 1890€, corresponding to the rental price used minus the 10% deductible cancellation fee (210€).

Interruption of stay - refund example:

You have reserved a 7 nights stay for an amount of 2,100€. You need to return home on day four. You will be refunded for 990€, corresponding to 4 nights not used (1200€) minus the 10% deductible cancellation fee (210€).

Reasons and activation process of My home in guarantees

48-hour Free Cancellation guarantee: your request is processed immediately by My home in team with a reimbursement within the following 3 days. This guarantee applies to any reservation made more than 30 days prior the arrival date and can be used only twice over 12 consecutive months. Cancellation refund guarantee without reason or proof: you inform the owner of your wish to cancel and simply get in touch with My home in team. Your demand is addressed with no delay and the reimbursement made within 3 days.

Full refund guarantee for cancellation or interruption of stay due to major events: the major events our cancellation and interruption guarantees apply for can be consulted on our page terms of guarantee. To benefit from these guarantees, you must send us your request in writing by e-mail (info@myhomein.fr) or by letter with acknowledgment of receipt, explaining the reasons of your cancellation or interruption of your stay and providing your supporting documents. Your request is analyzed by the team of our guarantor partner, who status on its admissibility. When applicable, upon receipt of the supporting documents, your reimbursement will be made by bank transfer within 10 days. Like any mutualist scheme, the guarantees you benefit from stand if they are activated for real and serious causes. We rely on your common sense to use them accordingly.
