Village of Nocario

Village of Nocario Corsica: perched on a mountain, Nocario presents an unusual situation that is out of the ordinary. Its houses are somehow stored so as to make floors, which makes the village both original and charming. Nothing can equal the beauty of this small neighborhood of 3.08 km2 of area that only lodges about sixty inhabitants.

Majesticly located at the bottom of San Petrone, Nocario is a miniature hamlet of Castagniccia in the south-east of Bastia. Thanks to its verdant and natural attractive traits, the village is a place of pilgrimage to be reconnected and to be in perfect symbiosis with the space that surrounds you. Its green squares provide as many benefits for the body not mentioning the forest trails that are suitable for undertaking a small walk of health.

For those who do not know, Nocario is affiliated with the Corsica Regional Natural Park, not only because the village has managed to preserve its environment, but also in order to develop the tourism potential of the latter. It is easy to reach the town which turns out to be a place of medium mountain. Being very blessed with nature, this small district has the most beautiful natural swimming pools where you can take the best baths while being surrounded by an incredible and endemic flora and fauna.

Located in Haute-Corse, Nocario benefits from a Mediterranean climate with a warm summer and a snowy winter. All seasons bring charm to the city, the landscapes are more colorful in May and June while the white layers of snow make of Nocario mysterious and endearing. The village was built at an average altitude of 670 m and it shelters a magnificent chapel, that of Saint-Martin, a place of commemoration concealing all the history of the municipality.
