Village of Barrettali
Being part of the eighteen municipalities that make up the historical Corsica Cap, Barratteli can be found in a unique geographical situation. This town is indeed in the center of the west coast of Cap Corse, thus separating Canari and Pino. It has an aspect in the form of a semicircle of mountain overlooking the marine of Giottani.
Even with only a hundred inhabitants, it is particularly rich in history and cultural heritage. For example, one of the must-see sites in the municipality would be the church of San Pantaleone dating from the 16th century, which is nestled in the hamlet of Chiesa. Once you are there, you will have easy access to the corniche road that overlooks the sea thus offering on other hamlets, well placed at the bottom of the mountain. You can also find Castelluccio Castle, which is a small fort built in the thirteenth century. It consists of a quadrangular tower, with enclosure walls. From this tower you will have a magnificent view of the village.
